About Us

Our journey began in 1995 when our owner matthew will, then a 25 year old young man, had an opportunity to acquire an existing metal roofing business located near berlin, pa. With an insane work ethic and a big vision, he decided then and there, this would be his future.

Starting out with a few pieces of old equipment, housed in a 3500 square foot warehouse, Matt got to work manufacturing steel, making deliveries, and building relationships. He quickly realized he was running out of space, which led him to a decision to relocate the business to Roaring Spring, Pa. in the summer of 1999. With more acreage and a bigger building, phase two of the Freedom Metals journey was about to begin.

The next 15 years would bring the normal ups and downs of any business regardless of the size and industry. In the early 2000’s we purchased our first Freightliner, and our trucking company, Freedom Express was born. In 2011, we opened the doors to our second retail store located in Ridgeley, Wv., which has seen consistent growth for a decade and counting. Along the way, we battled market fluctuations, aggressive competition, and many other growing pains, but in 2017 an opportunity was taken to take our business to the next level.

Fast forward to 2021. Now operating out of a 20,000 square foot facility with state-of-the-art equipment, phase three is intensely underway. We have introduced a full lineup of residential metal siding panels. We created interior trim such as crown molding and baseboard. We custom fabricate roofing and siding panels for commercial projects such as schools and hospitals. Our third retail store is set to open this year in Shamong, NJ., and this is only the beginning. Our sights are set on the future with a goal to create and innovate in ways that send shockwaves through the metal industry.
